有關春節英語小短文

　　春節一般指除夕和正月初一。但在民間，傳統意義上的春節是指從臘月初八的臘祭或臘月二十三或二十四的祭灶，一直到正月十五，其中以除夕和正月初一為高潮。在春節期間，我國的漢族和很多少數民族都要舉行各種活動以示慶祝。這些活動均以祭祀神佛、祭奠祖先、除舊布新、迎禧接福、祈求豐年為主要內容。活動豐富多彩，帶有濃郁的民族特色。

　　當午夜交正子時，新年鐘聲敲響，整個中華大地上空，爆竹聲震響天宇。在這“歲之元、月之元、時之元”的“三元”時刻，有的地方還在庭院里壘“旺火”，以示旺氣通天，興隆繁盛。在熊熊燃燒的旺火周圍，孩子們放爆竹，歡樂地活蹦亂跳，這時，屋內是通明的燈火，庭前是燦爛的火花，屋外是震天的響聲，把除夕的熱鬧氣氛推向了最高潮。

　　壓歲錢是由長輩發給晚輩的，有的家里是吃完年夜飯后，人人坐在桌旁不許走，等大家都吃完了，由長輩發給晚輩，并勉勵兒孫在在新的一年里學習長進，好好做人。有的人家是父母在夜晚待子女睡熟后，放在他們的枕頭下，更多的人家是小孩子們齊集正廳，高呼爺爺奶奶、爸爸媽媽新年快樂，列隊跪拜;而后伸手要紅包。甚而追討到爺爺媽媽的臥房，一齊跑到床沿，大嚷特嚷：“壓歲錢，壓歲錢!”老人家還嫌不夠熱鬧，故作小氣，由討價還價到圍攻摸索，最后把老祖宗的紅包挖掘出來，大家搶掠一空，才呼嘯而散。老人家逢此情景卻樂不可支，認為這是新年事事順利的好兆頭。過年給壓歲錢，體現出長輩對晚輩的關愛，和晚輩對長輩的尊敬，是一項整合家庭倫理關系的民俗活動。
